Sudanese Americans are most concentrated in the Midwestern states of Nebraska and Iowa, with 5,296 and 7,067 Sudanese individuals respectively. These two states have the highest percentage of Sudanese Americans, at 0.27% and 0.22% of their populations. Other states with notable Sudanese American populations include Alaska, which has 1,024 Sudanese individuals (0.14%), and New Hampshire, which has 1,203 Sudanese individuals (0.09%). The District of Columbia also has a high concentration of Sudanese Americans, with 463 individuals representing 0.07% of its population.

Sudanese Americans in other states are more sparsely distributed, with many states having fewer than one thousand individuals. However, some larger states like California, Texas, and New York still have relatively significant Sudanese American populations of over 4,000 individuals each. Overall, while there is no dominant geographic region for Sudanese Americans in the United States, their population tends to be concentrated in certain Midwestern and Northeastern states.
