Hawaii is unique in that there are no separately incorporated cities in the state. The only incorporated city is Honolulu, which serves as both a city and a county. There are, however, census-designated places throughout the island, which each have their own set of population data. In total, there are over 352,000 people that reside in Honolulu. After Honolulu, East Honolulu is the most populous CDP in Hawaii. However, Honolulu is the only place that has a population that exceeds 100,000. The least populated CDP is Manel, which has a population of just 29 people. Three additional CDPs have populations of less than 100, which there are numerous other areas that have populations that fall under 1,000.
