The Pacific Rim is a geographical term used to describe land located along the rim of the Pacific Ocean. The Pacific Rim overlaps the Pacific Ring of Fire – an area in the Pacific Ocean where volcanic eruptions and earthquakes occur.
The Pacific Rim is also part of the Pacific Basin, which includes all lands in the Pacific Rim and all islands in the Pacific Ocean.
