This point is situated in Wuqia County, which is located in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, or XUAR, of China. This autonomous region just so happens to be the largest division out of thirty-three in total.

With four municipalities, five autonomous regions, and twenty-three provinces in all, China’s land takes up about 3,600,945 square miles of area, while the remaining 104,460 square miles are attributed to land areas.

The population of China is currently 1,417,750,575 people. It’s important to remember that populations fluctuate, so this number is sure to increase. As of now, the population of China is the equivalent of 18.41% of the global population. Compared to every other country, China ranks as the most populated country in the world.
