China, or the People’s Republic of China, is an Eastern Asian country. The GPS coordinates of China are actually inaccessible. The most extreme point of China to the west is situated at a longitude of 73°33'29" E. This point is situated in Wuqia County, which is located in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, or XUAR, of China. This autonomous region just so happens to be the largest division out of thirty-three in total.

The total area of China is approximately 3,705,405 square miles. Of the country’s total area, China is about 97% land and 3% water. With four municipalities, five autonomous regions, and twenty-three provinces in all, China’s land takes up about 3,600,945 square miles of area, while the remaining 104,460 square miles are attributed to land areas.

The population of China is currently 1,417,750,575 people. It’s important to remember that populations fluctuate, so this number is sure to increase. As of now, the population of China is the equivalent of 18.41% of the global population. Compared to every other country, China ranks as the most populated country in the world.
