The Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims, generally known as the Ismailis, belong to the Shia branch of Islam.
The Ismailis are a transnational community, estimated at 12-15 million individuals, who live in more than 35 different countries, mainly in Central and South Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, North America and Australia.
Due to the dispersed nature of the Ismaili community, obtaining precise population figures by country is challenging.
