- Very few countries in the world produce neon gas. As of 2022, Ukraine produced 50-70% of the world's neon gas and Russia produced another 30%.
- China is another notable producer and seller of neon gas, particularly since the Russo-Ukrainian War began in February 2022 and disrupted neon production in both Ukraine and Russia.
