Many dating apps ask users to swipe on profiles to find matches. Because this setup is so familiar to users, Bumble positioned itself as a “feminist” dating app in order to stand out. The theory was that straight women would be more comfortable if they were the ones who initiated contact, so Bumble became known for being the app where the woman messages first.
Since its launch in 2014, Bumble has been used by daters around the world. Incidentally, Bumble gets the most traffic from the United States: 2.4 million monthly hits, as of late 2025. As the third most populated country, the US has a population of 340 million people, giving Bumble an impressive 25% of the app’s total traffic.
Germany is second. Though its population of 83 million is significantly smaller, the country boasts significant Bumble usage. Each month, Bumble sees 838.500 monthly hits from Germany, accounting for about 8.78% of Bumble’s total traffic.
India is third with 599 thousand hits as of Oct 2025. This accounts for 6.27% of Bumble’s total worldwide traffic. This is unsurprising as India is home to well over a billion people and has the largest population of any country in the world. According to The Times of India, a survey of Indian dating app users revealed that over half of women in Delhi and Mumbai prefer meeting people through dating apps. That same survey revealed that a significant percentage of dating app users, 78%, were active users and not simply casually curious.
Dating apps are also popular in China, which has a similar population to India. While Bumble does see traffic from China, especially in densely populated cities, the app is not officially available there. Thus, the official number four spot is taken by the United Kingdom, which has a population of 69 million and 462.9 thousand Bumble hits each month.
With 444.7 thousand hits, Brazil is the fifth largest user of Bumble as of Oct 2025, accounting for 4.66 percent of Bumble’s total monthly traffic.
It is of note that Bumble’s traffic seems to have peaked in 2024 and declined significantly in 2025. The three countries sending Bumble the most traffic in 2024 lost about two thirds of it within a year. While in 2024 the United States generated 7.7 million hits monthly, it only brought in 2.4 million monthly hits in 2025. India went from 2.5 million hits to only 599 thousand. And the United Kingdom went from 1.5 million in 2024 to just over 460 thousand monthly hits in 2025.
