Turkey's 33 footwear companies produce 600 million pairs annually, amounting to 328,000 pairs daily, with a market value of $6.08 billion and growing. Italy, as the fifth-largest global producer and the top in the European Union, produces 148.8 million pairs yearly, exporting shoes worth over eight billion Euros.
Mexico's 8,996 factories produce 250 million pairs annually, with Guanajuato alone accounting for 156.2 million pairs. Thailand manufactures 245 million pairs yearly, including various types like sneakers, sandals, and leather shoes, aiming for a $2.66 billion market value in 2023. Pakistan, with its 80,000 factories, produces 483 million pairs annually, mainly exporting to the US, Europe, and Arab countries.
Brazil, known for high-quality brands like Calvin Klein, Neiman Marcus, and Gucci, produces 800 million pairs each year. The United States, the tenth-largest shoe producer globally, accounts for 21% of all footwear, with Nike being its largest brand, generating $46.7 billion in revenue.
