Zoroastrian is a type of religion that got its start in Iran. It is one of the oldest types of faith and comes from the prophet Zoroaster. It is a religion that focuses on both good and evil and how they work together. Zoroastrian is a religion that is now practiced around the world. However, there are some countries where it is practiced more than others. In this article, we will take a closer look at the statistics involving Zoroastrians and learn which countries have high and lower populations of the religion.

The religion is over 4,000 years old and follows the Threefold Path of ASHA tenets. The main focus of the religion is a dedication to "Good Thoughts, Good Words, and Good Deeds." It's estimated that, worldwide, there are 120,000 Zoroastrians. The majority of those live in India, Iran, and North America. The area of the world that has the highest concentration of Zoroastrians is the Dadar Parsi Colony, which is located in India.

Naturally, India is the country with the highest population of Zoroastrian members. Approximately 50,000 from the religion live in the country, although many suspect the numbers are much higher. In Iran and Iraq, it's estimated that 15,000 Zoroastrians may live in each country, but some estimate that the numbers could be as high as 25,721.

There is also a large population of Zoroastrian members in the United States. Over 14,400 from the religion currently reside in the United States. At this point, the population levels begin dropping dramatically. Uzbekistan is next on the list, and this country has less than half the number of Zoroastrians living in its borders than the United States. Canada follows with 6,442, and The United Kingdom at 4,000, Tajikistan at 2,700, Australia at 2,577, and Afghanistan at 2,000 round out the top ten.

Several areas of the world also have members of the Zoroastrian faith but in smaller numbers. Hong Kong, for example, is home to 204 members, as of 2012. Singapore had around 372 during that same timeframe. The countries of Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates were home to 380 members in 2012. It is important to note that these countries are considered to be a collective unit when it comes to the number of Zoroastrians living within their borders. While most of the population of Zoroastrians are in the Indian and Iranian regions, there are small numbers in Europe and Central Asia. in 2012, about 1,000 people from the Zoroastrian faith lived in these areas.
