Nomad Countries / Countries That Offer Digital Nomad Visas (NDRs) 2024

Antigua & Barbuda

A Nomad Digital Residence (NDR) is good for up to two years. The conditions to apply for this nomad visa includes the ownership of a business, minimum earnings of $50,000 annually, and proof of travel and or health insurance.

Estonia

The digital nomad visa for Estonia is valid for one year. To apply for this visa proof of business ownership or remote work outside of Estonia is required, along with proof of minimum monthly income.

Barbados

A one-year NDR program is offered in Barbados. To apply, proof of business ownership or remote work for a business not based in-country must be shown. Additionally, proof of $50,000 per year income and COVID-19 testing are required.

Cayman Islands

The nomad visa program in the Cayman Islands is good for 2 years. The application requires proof of employment by a company based outside the country, along with a minimum salary of $100,000. Health insurance and a notarized reference letter from your bank will also be needed.

Bermuda

This NDR visa allows remote workers to reside in Bermuda for up to one year. The requirement to apply for this visa includes proof of employment for an entity based outside of Bermuda in addition to meeting minimum income requirements and proof of COVID-19 testing and travel insurance.

Costa Rica

The freelancer visa for Costa Rica (referred to as the Rentista) is good for two years. Conditions to apply for this nomad visa include proof of $3,000 monthly income and travel/medical insurance.

Croatia

This new nomad visa program allows remote workers to stay in Croatia for up to a year. Proof of employment, minimum income requirements, and background checks from the applicant's home country will be needed to apply.

Dubai (United Arab Emirates)

Another new nomad visa program, the city of Dubai offers a one-year "virtual working program" visa. To apply, proof of employment, income ($5,000 minimum monthly salary), and health insurance must be shown.

Czech Republic

The NDR program allows visa holders to stay for up to one year. To meet the conditions to apply for this visa, an approved trade license will be required. Additionally, proof of accommodations, minimum income requirements, and tax information will be necessary.

Each of these programs also requires some type of application fee, with the prices ranging from a little more than one hundred dollars to more than a thousand. If you want to work in an island paradise remotely, however, it has never been easier.
