Therefore, it should come as no surprise that Nevada also has the highest rate of divorce. Despite the high rate of marriage and divorce in Nevada, both are on the decline during the past few decades. From 2000 to 2019, Nevada saw a drop in marriages of approximately 62 percent. During the same time period, Nevada also saw a decrease in the number of divorces, dropping by approximately 58 percent. Still, Nevada is the national leader in both categories.
