Scottish Americans are found throughout the United States, with some states having a higher percentage of individuals with Scottish ancestry than others. The state with the highest percentage of Scottish Americans is Maine at 4.16%, followed closely by Vermont at 4.04% and New Hampshire at 3.88%.
