In Minnesota and Wisconsin, there are 9,080 and 8,654 people of Slovene ancestry, respectively, each making up around 0.16% of their respective populations.
On the other hand, the states with the lowest percentage of Slovene ancestry are Mississippi, Rhode Island, and Alabama, with Slovenes making up only 0.005%, 0.004%, and 0.006% of their populations, respectively. Additionally, some states with larger overall populations, such as California and New York, have a relatively low percentage of Slovene Americans at 0.03% and 0.028%, respectively, despite having significant numbers of Slovene Americans (10,861 and 5,486, respectively).
