Saffron is one of the brightest, most widely used, and priciest spices on the market. The list of saffron exports by country reveals the popularity and widespread production of this red-colored spice, in addition to the leading saffron exporters. As of the 2018 data provided by WITS (World Integrated Trade Solution), the leading saffron exporters were Iran and China.

While saffron is produced around the world, there are considerable differences between the major saffron producers and those that simply grow and harvest saffron. As the list shows, some countries produce little to no saffron, and others produce more that 100,000 kg.
