It typically takes five months to a year to be awarded this type of Visa. Some citizens of certain countries tend to be awarded these Visas more easily than others. In this article, we will take a look at the states regarding K-1 Visa approval rates and which countries have the most success when it comes to K-1 Visas.

The country that has the most visas approved is the country of the United Kingdom. Overall, 34 citizens from the UK have been approved for K-1 Visas in 2023. On average, it takes 38 days for these citizens to interview for their visas. The next country on the list is Canada. 25 citizens from Canada have been approved for K-1 Visas in 2023. However, on average, it takes 100 days for these applicants to be interviewed.

The Philippines and Brazil fall not too far below Canada in their quest to obtain a K-1 Visa. 24 visas from the Philippines and 23 from Brazil were awarded in 2023. On average, it takes 75 days for Philippine citizens to be interviewed and 50 days for Brazilian citizens to be interviewed. Nigeria is the country that rounds out the top five. 16 citizens from Nigeria, who averaged 97 days before being interviewed, received K-1 Visas in 2023.

On the flip side, there are several countries that have not been successful at receiving K-1 Visas in 2023. For example, the countries of Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Nepal, Ivory Coast, Somalia, Tunisia, Bolivia, Jordan, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, Paraguay, El Salvador, Lebanon, Oman, Moldova, and Latvia have not been awarded any K-1 Visas in 2023, even though applications have been submitted.

Several other countries have only been awarded 1 K-1 Visa in 2023. These countries include Ethiopia, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Peru, Sri Lanka, Romania, Chile, Rwanda, Benin, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Belarus, Laos, Hong Kong, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, Lithuania, Estonia, Montenegro, Grenada and Bangladesh have all only been awarded 1 K-1 Visa in 2023.

Another important factor to keep in mind when considering K-1 Visa applications is the length of time it takes for applicants to interview for their Visa. Currently, the country of Vietnam has the longest wait time. Citizens of Vietnam wait an average of 143 days before they interview.
