Where Is Anhui?

Anhui, China is a province located in the People's Republic of China that is considered landlocked. It is located in the eastern region of China, and the largest city in the area is Hefei. What Are the Transportation Options in Anhui?

Getting around in Anhui is relatively easy, but for a long time, it was incredibly challenging. For most of Chinese history, there were not a lot of bridges over the Yangtze river, which made it very difficult to move throughout the province. Effectively, it was divided between the northern and southern regions for a long time.

The very first bridge across the Yangtze River in Anhui was not finished until 1995. Now, there are four large bridges that go over the river, making it easier to get around. In addition, there was not a very strong rail system in the province until recently. Most of the cities are connected using a high-speed rail system, which makes it easier for people to get around. There are also very strong subway systems in the cities of Hefei and Wuhu, and there are multiple lines that make it easy for people to get from place to place.

Now, there are several major commercial airports in the province. They include Hefei, Anqing, Chizhou, Fuyang, and Huangshan. More commercial airports are under construction.

What Is There To Do in Anhui?

There are plenty of fun things to do in Anhui, and much of them have to do with exploring the outdoors. For example, many people love hiking up Huangshan Mountain, which provides some beautiful views of the surrounding area. There is also a very old Buddhist temple that people like to visit called Jiuhua Shan. There is a strenuous hike to get there, but the views of the surrounding area are beautiful. Another major mountain that people like to explore in Anhui is called Tianzhu Shan. Now that the province has become more developed, there are a lot of shops and restaurants in the major cities, particularly Hefei, but the outdoors is still one of the best parts of visiting this area.
