Bribery is illegal by nature. As such, there exist no countries in which bribery is official legalized.
Despite being fundamentally illegal, bribery is still notably present in the world. Bribery is both obvious and prevalent in some countries, and likely exists at some level even in countries where it is not immediately apparent..
Although there are no major statistical studies devoted solely to bribery, Transparency.org's annual Corruption Perceptions Index tracks overall corruption, of which bribery is a large and common component.
Lower CPI scores indicate higher corruption, and likely more instances of bribery.
