Indonesia is one of the leading agricultural exporters by country. It is the largest producer and exporter of palm oil. It produces about 25 million metric tons of palm oil and exports oil worth about $17 billion every financial year. The country can export such large quantities of palm oil because more than 90% of the world’s palm oil trees are found in Indonesia and Malaysia.
The United States is arguably a superpower in many major sectors, including the agricultural export industry. The United States is one of the leading exporters of soybeans globally. The nation is expected to ship about 2.15 billion bushels of soybeans outside its borders.

China produces more than 23 million tons of garlic every year. Major export destinations include Indonesia, Vietnam, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates.
India is the largest rice exporter globally and has maintained the lead for more than five years now. In 2022 alone, the country exported 22.1 million tons of rice to other nations. The Philippines is one of the largest exporters of bananas globally. Extensive banana production started in the Philippines in the late 20th century when the government permitted land sales to foreign investors who created enormous banana plantations. When it comes to wheat, based on early 2022 export volumes, Russia ranked fourth behind Australia, France, and Canada—though full-year data shows Russia as the top global exporter. The new government promoted individual farming and allowed people to start large-scale wheat production.
