Phone number length around the world ranges from 17 digits to only 4.
In China, the maximum number of digits in a phone number is 13. For example, you will dial the internal code for China (+86), the area code (2 to 4 numbers), and the 7-digit phone number.
Mozambique's national phone numbers are 12 digits long, including the country code (+258), area code, and the seven-digit phone number.
Brazil also has phone numbers that are 12 digits long. An example is the International Airport in São Paulo, phone number 55 11 2445-2945.
Countries with ten digits in their phone number include India, the United States, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Russia, Mexico, Japan, the Philippines, Egypt, Iran, Turkey, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Kenya, Columbia, South Korea, Canada, Nepal, Romania, Kazakhstan, the Dominican Republic, Greece, Austria, Libya, and more.
The international phone numbers that have nine digits are Vietnam, Thailand, South Africa, Spain, Algeria, Afghanistan, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, Yemen, Peru, Ghana, Cameroon, Australia, Taiwan, Syria, Zambia, Chile, Ecuador, the Netherlands, Cambodia, Zimbabwe, Benin, Belgium, Jordan, Czech Republic, Hungary and more.
Some countries have eight-digit internal phone numbers. Nigeria, Myanmar, Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Chad, Somalia, Guatemala, Tunisia, Honduras, Togo, Hong Kong, Serbia, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Singapore, Denmark, Norway, Costa Rica, Oman, Panama, Kuwait, and more.
Seven-digit international phone numbers are less common and include the countries of Malaysia, Venezuela, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Liberia, Lebanon, Gabon, Solomon Islands, Maldives, Belize, Micronesia, Aruba, Marshall Islands, and Palau.
Tanzania, French Polynesia, New Caledonia, and Greenland have six-digit international phone numbers.
The countries that only use three digits in their international phone numbers are Samoa, Faroe Islands, and the Cook Islands.
The country of Nieu only has three digits in its international phone number, not including the international code (+683)
